A good place to stay in Panaji
Panjim Inn is located in an old 200-year-old mansion in the central part of town. It's a pleasant place to stay, and there is a nice cafe - restaurant on the large balcony overlooking the yard. Our room was comfortable and air-conditioned. There is old period furniture everywhere, including the bedrooms; we had a four-poster bed which was about 1 meter high, so take care if you have a tendency to fall out of bed in your sleep!
Parts of the hotel with their antique furniture look like a museum, and may give an impression of elegance that is beyond the actual standard of this hotel: For example, the breakfast room is very elegantly furnished, but breakfast itself is quite basic.
