This hotel is fantastic! It's a heritage hotel. That means that in ealier days it was the palace of a maharadja!
There is a beautiful green garden aeria. Inside, the rooms, dining room and corridors are painted very colourfully!
This is the best hotel in Pushkar, a lively pilgrimage town.

Savitri & Gayatri - the two hills just outside the city - seem so close, so we decided we'll try & climb one for the great view from the Holy temple. But walking through the small streets, entering the desert & climbing the rocky hills isn't really as easy as one would think... And there was this kid who gave us the wrong direction - on purpose! :)
Nevertheless, we managed to see the temple from the bottom of the hill & we had so much fun on the way there. But we also got tired, so we spent the rest of the time in the Eye, eating, playing backgammon & chatting...
It goes without saying that you are not allowed to take photographs of the pilgrims bathing and worshiping in the ghats. If you forget about any of these rules the local priests will ask you to leave the bathing ghat or temple.
The temple of Lord Brahma's first wife. It is located 743 meters on the hill behind the Brahma temple and one has to climb a long series of steps to reach the shrine. It commands a panoramic view of the beautiful lake and the picturesque surrounding of the villages.

It must be appreciated that in most, if not all-Indian ritual fire, symbolically representing agni, occupies the pride of place. Aromatic herbal powders were sprinkled on to the "Homa Kundam" to propitiate the Gods as well spread fragrance and remove nauseous odour. Certain types of aromatic herbs used were related to the time spectrum - morning, afternoon, night. Some were specific to the Pooja / sacrifice being . performed and some were used to promote particular moods for e.g., peace, while some related to the cure of specific ailments - Aroma therapy of today.
