HOTEL ALANKAR DELUXE: BEST HOTEL ON MUMBAI GOA HIGHWAY AT HATKHAMBA

with ac and non ac rooms beginning at 800 INR this hotel situated at hatkhamba on the mumbai goa highway is an ideal stopover.
in the days gone by it had a bit of notoriety associated with it since it served alcohol in conservative times.
times have changed and so has alankar.i have seen it personally as a basic motel 20 years ago. the property has been slowly and correctly developed seeing to it that the valley landscape at the back of the hoel has not been spoilt.
our stay was pleasant no room service but restaurant which is the biggest plus point of this hotel is just below and remains open from early morning to late night.
its proximity to the highway ensures that some buzz of activity is always on although it doesnt disturb the peace.
there was some stink emanating from the backside of our room which turned out to be that a sewage had just been cleaned.
rooms are decent ac worked as well as the tv.
after dinner it was fun to sit near the balustrade entrance on the "katta" and have some conversation till we felt sleepy.it was near full moon which added to the atmosphere.

Unique Quality: very good and ample parking space.
very good quality restaurant on the ground flooor .no wonder as alankar was initially famous as a restaurant more than a hotel.
excellent and spacious HP petrol pump open 24 hours bang opposite.
excellent location for a morning walk down the valley please read travelogues for the morning walk detail.
value for money.
ideal stopover if you are planning to visit bhatye khadi pawas(swaroopanad swami ashram) and adivare(goddess deity temple)
