ok would not stay again though
Ganga kinare is cashing in on the view. That’s all- far from town, badly maintained. The entire property needs to be renovated. Staff was very polite and helpful, we had problems with the rooms and they were promptly changed. But in general the dining area, and the general upkeep of the hotel left a lot to be desired. At night the entire place is full of insects – pitcures attached, rooms are very small. Possibly wouldn’t stay again, I think the view and staff really are the only reasons this place is running.

An Idyllic Retreat
My husband and I are frequent travellers to India, and this time around we decided to visit Rishikesh for a quiet, calm week-long stay. We did a bit of sight seeing in Hardwar, and asked our taxi guy to suggest some nice hotels in Rishikesh, slightly away from the hustle bustle of the city. He suggested Ganga Kinare, owing to its location right on the banks of the river. We were pleasently surprised to see this charming resort not too far away from hardwar. As stated by the driver, the resort truly was on the banks of the river. In fact it has its own private riverside promenade. People can talk nice walks on this newly laid pavement and enjoy the view of the river and the famous wildlife sanctuary right across. The room was cosy, modern with simplistic furnishing and all amenities. The best part was the wall to wall windows that had direct views of the river! We went during the rains and the sight in the morning was truly blissful. The staff is friendly and accomodating and the food is palatable and simple. The resort has a massage parlour that offers various kinds of massages, which we made use of. Although the resort also offers activities like rafting, boat rides, we chose to trek in the surrounding areas, and the resort gladly arranged guides for us to camp. A very pleasant surprise in a small city like Rishikesh and if we're back next time, we'll definitely come back here again!

Divine Location!!
The most amazingly located hotel in Rishikesh! It really is Ganga Kinare (on the banks of the Ganges). The river flows right next to the hotel and the USP of the hotel would have to be its private ghat! One can stroll across the well manicured gardens of the hotel and walk up to the river to offer a prayer or just enjoy the sight and smell of the sacred river. Apart from the proximity to the river, the hotel also offers a splendid view of the Rajaji National Park, known for its bountiful flora and fauna. The rooms are cosy and contemporary with the food satisfactory. Service has potential to be better but no major hiccups emerged. All in all, very enjoyable stay and highly recommended to all Rishikesh tourists!
