What's the most comfortble and safe overnight bus for a woman to take from Hyderabad to Chennai?
Preferrably leaving from Begumpet (Yatri Nivas)

My suggestion will be have a train journey then bus journey as it will be comfortable & safely also. There are three trains with depart daily, detail as under:

Fare: Rs. 1113 per person in second class aircon sleeper

Arr. CHENNAI CENTRAL 08:15 (Next day)
Fare: Rs. 1178 per person in second class aircon sleeper

Arr. CHENNAI EGMORE 06:40 (next day)
Fare: Rs. 1140 per person in second class aircon sleeper

As an American in Hyderabad, I am not familiar with the buses or trains here. But for a woman traveling alone, perhaps you could consider a non-stop Jet Airways flight, which is around $200 R/T, even short notice. Might be worth the investment in speed and personal safety (of course, there are the recent travel warnings).

ap tourism bus or train
Secunderaad railway station is near to yatri nivas. Suggest train is better and comfortable than a bus for a single woman.
and ofcourse ifyou can afford a flight, begumpet airport is also near by.Youc an take some budget flight that takes about 50mnts to reach Chennai.
drive around Banjara Hills - this is the most posh area in the city Eating at Universal Bakery, Secunderabad. Hyderabad is a non - vegetarian's delight! At this bakery on M G Rd, Secunderabad you get the most amazing rolls at a real good price!
Lots of restaurants to gorge some really exotic Mughalai Cuisine, but my favourites are Orchid's, Alex's Kitchen, Shadab Restaurant, Sahara Dhaba and many more.
Orchid's is essentially a Continental restaurant, it may seem expensive to some, but is ideal for cozy dinners.
Alex's Kitchen specializes in Chinese Food.
Shadab Restaurant located in Old City is by far the best of them as far as tasting the authentic Mughlai dishes is concerned. Its also very reasonable.
Sahara Dhaba at the outskirts is a popular haunt if you want to go a little far from the city on weekends, and what's more its damn cheap. Orchid's offers amazing array of dishes, and I like Apollo fish from here.
At Alex's Kitchen I like the American Chopsuey, apart from the regular Chinese fare.

Sahara dhaba is good for those who prefer a bit of veg and non-veg, tandoori chicken and butter naan are the specialities.
It was printed "The Largest Film Studio Complex in the World", but i think it also deserve to be the lousiest film complex in the world. I won't doubt about the size of the complex, but i really think this is the biggest con joint i step in during my trip to South India.
I am quite impressed that Ramoji can produce good movies out of some old mockups of some famous landmarks wannabe. You can hardly find marble floor in the complex, but normal cement floor painted with white or pink paint. Of course, most of these marble had been faded beyond recognition since they had never been repainted after the first coat.

The city presents an attractive amalgam of old world charm together with ebullience of growth and enterprise. Beautiful old edifices built in the medieval, large glass and chrome temples of commerce.
Hyderabad is at an altitude of 536 meters with the mean summer temperature going up to a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius and the minimum average temperature being around 22 degrees. The maximum winter temperature is around 22 with the minimum going down to around 12 degrees.
The City of Hyderabad is famous for its minarets and its pearl bazaar. Pearl from all over the world are said to come to Hyderabad because the artisans here are skilled in piercing and stringing pearls without damaging them. The city's gypsy tribes called "Lambadas" and "Banjaras" are known throughout the country for their colorful costumes - and Hyderabadi cuisine is much sought after
