The Fortune Katriya was our hub during most of our India trip as we traveled in and out of Hyderabad. Since we were constantly checking in and out, we saw several different room types. There was nothing spectacular about the hotel and in some places, it just looked "unfinished". The rooms we were clean enough, but for a relatively new hotel, things already seemed somewhat run-down.
While we were there, we were treated to a complementary breakfast buffet which offered both continental as well as Indian options. Both the food and the service were average and we constantly needed to flag someone down if we wanted any service.
This 3-star hotel is located off the main street and is hard to find. The amenities are generally comfortable.
The restaurant serves a very delicious nasi bryani mutton (goat instead of sheep meat). The rice is of a much lighter color than the bright yellow version that is found in Singapore.
My main complaint is that the stack of postcards that I paid postage for the conceirge to send on my behalf were not received by any of the addressees.
The doorman is smartly dressed up and very friendly.
