Relocating to Hyderabad

by nagikart

I will be relocating to Hyderabad by Jan 2006 from Chennai. i will be working at Hitech City. Can you please suggest a nice place to live in and around 6-7 km from Hitech City. My specifications are

1. 3 Bed room appt in a nice green residential locality.
2. Budget around Rs 10,000
3. Close to Market Place, school (montessori) and paediatric clinics
4. Home should have atlease 2 western toilets.
5. Half furnished (with wardrobes, woodwork, geysers, tubes and fans)
6. Should be accesible to swimming pool and tennis courts.
7. Nice green locality with good neighbours

The real estate prices have shot up in Hyderabad, especially places around Hitech city. 3 bedroom flat in and near Hi tech city would cost close to 20-25000 rupees. you might find a 3 bedroom flat in areas like Masab tank or Mehdipatnam for 10000 and the place is around 10 KMS from Hitech city.

YOu can also try in Kukkatpally. which is 8 kms from Hitech City. But am not really sure if you would find all the specifications you have listed in these areas.

The Hyderabad US consulate is being set up in Hyderabad and will start operations from December 2008.

This temporary consulate office will be located at the Paigah Palace, Begumpet, a heritage building of the Nizam period, which presently houses Hyderabad Urban Development Authority Office. The State government has allotted land at Madhapur, the city's IT hub, where permanent campus would come up later.

It will be fourth consulate in India after Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai.

Cyberabad!

by Donna_in_India

Many people would not find this interesting or a "thing to do", but since we are in the IT business my husband and I wanted to check out the area known as Hi-Tech City/Cyberabad. We have watched all the companies coming into the different cities in India for the past 5+ years. All of this has led to all kinds of growth, building, traffic, etc. Some of it good, some of it not so good. We were pretty surprised at all the companies in Hyderabad, as well as all of the buildings coming up - both commercial - and residential to house all the techies.

Check out the Aliens Space Station 1 residential complex: http://www.aliensspacestation1.in/htmls/home.html

It Companies (so far):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_IT_companies_in_Hyderabad

They are building several more hotels in the area and are also building a new road to the (great, new) airport to connect it directly to the area without the need to travel through the "city".

Hyderabad-The city of Pearls, Bangles & Biryani

by satyapal

"Introduction"

If you land in Hyderabad on a tour. Best places to visit are organised by AP Tourism Development Corporation. You can safely have good Hyderabadi cuisine food in all big hotels preferably drink mineral water with the food. APTDC is organising paying guest accomodation as an experience(i.e. Stay with any registered Hyderabad family). Local places of interest will be to visit Golconda fort(sound and lights show), Charminar, Salarjung museum, Ramoji rao's film city, Birla marble temple.
Keep in mind Hyderabadi food will be hot and spicy but definitely tasty.
The APTDC is developing a buddhist tourist places circuit which is bound to generate interest of tourists. These places are being projected very strongly as tourist destinations and infrastructure is being developed.
