Car registration for out of state cars
by smahensaria
I have recently moved to Hyderabad and need to get my car, registered in the state of Haryana, sent here.
If I continue to retain my Haryana registration, what do I need to do to continue to drive around in Hyderabad?
What is required in case I get the registration number changed to a local number?
Thanks.

To keep your car permanently in Hyderabad, you need to get a NOC from DTO office from your hometown in Haryana. Once you get the NOC, you can get it registered in Hyderabad... don't know if you'll be able to change it to a local number but yes you can drive it without any problem.

Mai haryane ka jatt, teen paanch mat kariyo godeya neeche dharloonga...I remember this famous saying about haryanvis.
Well regarding registeration, i would say better going for legal procedure than short cuts.Four wheelers can be a problem here as checking goes strict at times.I own a Enfield bearing punjab registeration, god sake there is no problem as it is two wheeler but who knows.
For you , you need to get a NOC ( no-objection-certificate) from RTO office in haryana. That certificate is valid here for six months from date of issuance to help you till the time you get the process done here.By submitting that NOC here anytime in RTO office, you will get the AP registeration and you have to pay some amount too.I am talking of legal fees and that is road tax fee if m true. That is some percentage of the current cost of the vehicle,i recommend you talking to one of the agents ,collecting the information ,going to RTO office and check about the same. Then only you go for it,otherwise agents can be really expensive and you rwork will be half done.
One i know is Naveen, his number is 9849627098.Give him my reference in case he has faint memory of mine in his mind :P
My two cents.

Travel Tips for Hyderabad
City of Nawabs

To live in Hyderabad is to live in an age gone by . Hyderabad is much more than a picture post card setting. A city of subtle contrasts everyway you look at it. It is here that old n the new meet, the pre-modern and the modern mingle, palatial buildings and slums co-exists.
Hyderabad is an important center for Islamic culture and is a still recognised as the last haven for Hyderabadi language n culture. Consisting of twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad , it is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. It is famous for being seat of the wealthy Nizams of Hyderabad, who ruled the Southern part of India, known as Deccan. The foundations were laid more than 400 years ago by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah. He was quite a romantic n bestowed the city of Hyderabad on the woman he loved.
The landmarks of the past stands in the the emerging concrete jungle. The passage of time has left its mark on every facet of life. There is a distinct change in the lifestyle of the people. The yuppie culture and the western haute culture are in. But the muslim traditional outfits remain. The muslim society as such remains uneffected by the large scale changes that have taken place in Hyderabad. The deccan Urdu has become more popular now than ever before.
The Hyderabad which was once known for Domes and Minarets is now famous for a new name, "Cyberabad" an investor's paradise in the field of Information Technology.

Best of south indian foods
by vin1 about The South Indian Haven of Hyderabad
The south indian ( specifically Andhra) food is spicy. Expats need to mention that they need things with less chilly. There are quite few good south indian restaurents , here is the list.
1) Southern Spice ( Nagarjuna Circle)
2) Spicy Venue ( Jubilee Hills)
3) Amaravati
4) Annapoorna ( ammerpet) Go for the normal south indian meals. You can try
gongura pickle,
chapala pulusu,
natukodi pulusu.
This part of the country is called Rice Bowl, so food is cheap compared to any part of the country.

Golkonda Fort
This fort was built by Kakatiya kings. From this fort they ruled the nearby areas even when their capital was based in Warrangal.
This massive fort is 11 km in perimeter and its walls are 15 to 18 ft high. The whole fort is built in granite and is flanked by 70 ramparts and 8 huge gates. Previously the whole fort was surrounded by a deep gorge but slowly this was filled up. While entering from the main gate of the fort, if one claps below the dome, echoes are heard in a Darbar hall some 128 meter away.
The 3 days biz trip in Hyderabad
by lukluk_wal_marjan
Never thought of being here until I was chosen as part of the technical visit organised by the company. Since it was a short trip & more working rather than relaxing, nothing much that I have seen as a tourist. Nevertheless there are some tips that I think I can share with. other than that, I will surely be back in Hyderabad someday, some where in time.
At the point of time, am yet to own a digital camera, so need time to finally upload the pics taken there.
