Need place to stay for 2 and half months near high tech city

by vipulph

Hi all,
Me and 2 of my friends will be doing our summer internship in Microsoft, High Tech City area starting from 14th May till 20th July.
We need a place to stay for the period.
What will be the best place to stay (hostels or PG or some rental flat)?
In which area should I search for it?

Hi vipul,
Welcome to hyd.Although microsoft is not in hitech area.It is more known as gachhibowli.About 5 km form hitech city.
If you own any vehicle or any plans to keep your vehicle in hyd, then you can prolly reside bit far areas like banjara hills, mehandipatnam, masabtank or jubille hills, madhapur.
If you want to live closeby, you can also find accomodation in gachibowli.Gachibowli is bit tough to find out as it is not much influenced by IT professionals. In this case, Best bet would be madhapur(Hitech city).
Decent 2Bhk would be anywhere near 8-10K.3BHk would be anywhere between 10-15k depending upon your choices and living style.Well funrished 3BHk's would cost you lot more.
You can also try PG's option in case you are okay with food and other things.
Try fullhyderabad.com
apnahyderabad.com
and contact agents or direct landlords.Wehn you reach hyderabad, take a look at deccan chronicle, a good number of advertisments appear thr.

My two cents

You do have PG , and also there are service apratments avaialble nowadays which would be the best option for your kindaa need.

Travel Tips for Hyderabad

Olden cham,modern facilities

by vpas

Hyderabad is a beautiful city and is a lovely blend of the old world charm and new age facilities. It is by and large clean.
Places to visit
Birla Mandir(a hindu temple, built with white marble)
Charminar(the hallmark of Hyderabad)
Golconda Fort
Qutub Shahi tombs
Ramoji Film city
Salar Jung Museum(the world's largest single man's collection)
Drive around the Tank bund,Necklace Road
Boat ride on Hussain Sagar

Languages
The languages spoken here are Telugu,Hindi,Urdu and of course almost everyone knows a bit of English or is fluent in English.
Night life
Night life is quite active. There are many pubs and a few discotheques.
Food
Hyderabad is a foodie's paradise. It is most famous for its biriyani,a rice preparation that can either be with lamb, chicken or vegetables.
The other popular local dishes are Bagara Baigan, which is a spicy eggplant dish;Khubbani ka meetha is a royal dessert(which is made of apricots)double ka meetha which is a sweet made of bread.During the month of Ramzan you get Haleem here. The tea and triangular samosas of local cafes called Irani cafes are also very popular.
Paan/Beter leaf mouth freshner
Paan is a mouth freshner and is chewed after a meal.It is made of betel leaves that are folded after being stuffed with all or any combination of the following betel nuts/gulkhand/(rose jelly)/menthol(called Meenakshi paan)/lime/dry fruits/tobacco/silver foil/gold dust(!) etc..The price of the paan depends on the filling. They also sometimes have the intoxicating versions,so beware and ask them what it contains before going for the chew!!The most popular ones are meeta paan(sweet version)and sada paan(ordinary or unsweetened version)
People
The people are known for their cool and casual attitude. They are by and large very hospitable, truly exhuding the 'Nawabi culture' of the bygone era.

So Welcome and have a great time

Located on the outskirts of the twin cities of Hyderabad n Secunderabad, this restaurent is a welcome change in the never ending list of hotels in Hyderabad. The owners here call it the Ethnic Gateway n the feel is the same as such. Constructed by artisans over a period of over 2 years, it has something for everybody. You can spend a pleasant evening at thier restaurents, be with nature, indulge yourself in arts n crafts center, meditate and relieve stress at the ayurvedic massage center, or just take sedate walk through the beautiful gardens. They offer holiday packages with good facilites and ambience for the body n soul. I had ordered Nizami vegetable curry, which was perfectly done with just about spice to make me sweat. Took the butter naan with it and apollo fish. Food is good, what makes it an icing on the cake is the ambience. We had our dinner at Prakruta, the well side restaurent. But i was really amazed that they did not have halal meat, strange, cos they are doing business in Hyderabad! and i had to eat veg cos of that

Nehru Zoo Park

by blusky

There's a train that can take you for a ride and if you want to see some really wild animals there's also small safari.
The ZOO itself is really huge and there's plenty space for animals to be in their naturale environment.
If you look really carefuly, you'll find, by the tree on the right side of the photo, hairy head of orangutan:)

Cyberabad

Hyderabad along side with Secunderabad and Bangalore are emerged to be the new found favor for world software empire that supplies not only skilled warm bodies, offshore programming, but also call centers for many major MNCs.

In this page, I will start with introduction of the place/cave/temple and will follow with few tips based on my own impressions for that specific location. All my India pages will be having the same format; therefore you should browse the page using Author's order for best result.
