"PRAGMA-09 Meeting @ University of Hyderabad"
Besides attending the meeting, I spent a day before and a day after to visit the city.
Lasting impression: massive traffic congestion, potholes in the roads, and great nasi bryani.
"The Charminar"
The Charminar is the city's major landmark. It is surrounded by fruit and tinklet stalls, and is a stone throw from the Mecca Mosque. It is fascinating to watch the hustle and bustle as the cars and traffic go by.
"Mecca Mosque"
Hyderabad is a Muslim city in an otherwise predominantly Hindu India.
