We stayed at this hotel on our second visit to Ahmadamad. Having eaten in their restuarant on a previous visit, we had looked around, and really liked what we saw. Of course, a nice looking hotel is often not what it seems. But this place lived up to our expectations......and then some. It was 1st class service from the moment we checked in.
When we saw our room (s) I thought that there had been a mistake..........the room was a suite, and we asked for a regular room. No mistakes. Sumptious. A four poster bed,with fine muslin mosquito netting draped over,luxurious bathroom (shower & tub) and masses of space. We even had an extra sitting room, with a swing seat, and balcony. I was entranced by the extras...writing desk, huge tv, bookcases with books, and comfy sofas. Persion carpets completed the picture.
After settling in, we explored the premises.....indoor pool with mosaics & underwater lighting,and a gym. 2 restuarants, one outdoors in a candlelit garden area. We put them to good use, after the heat of the day.
We spent a couple of days at this hotel........I could not fault it in any way. The service was good, the food was superb, and the ambiance truly special. It was built in 1920, and had been the home of a wealthy industrialist. The present owners have turned this into one of the best hotels we have stayed in.
The reception staff were very capeable,and handled any queries & requests that we made with total professionalism. We had aksed for a late checkout.......no problem....and no extra charges. I recommend this place to anyone. Its a bit pricey, but we had stayed in hotels that had cost more,and gave no value at all.

The Indoor Pool is amazing.........lined with mosaic tiles set out in floral patterns. The four poster bed was comfortable, and hard to leave in the mornings. And most of all, the bathroom...........had fantastic lighting, lots of huge mirrors, and shower plus tub. Having an extra sitting room was also an attraction.........the swing seat was a good place to relax & read. There is a wrap around balcony, upstairs,which overlooks a fairly busy street, and a mosque right opposite. We would wake every morning to the call to prayer.
We also really liked the outdoor restaurant(The Green House).........the food is superb, & service quick & efficient.
There is an option to buy any of the furnishings in the rooms........I wouldhave loved the four poster, but thought that might be a bit difficult to fit into my hand-luggage.
