Are there any direct flights from Mumbai to Surat. It seems most flights are from Delhi. Also approx how much is the fare on train AC2/3 sleeper class?
Surat Airport is situated on the outskirts of the city. The airport has been inaugurated recently and has made the city all the more accessible for the tourists. Presently, there are two airlines operating from the Airport, the Indian Airlines and the Kingfisher Airlines. Surat is connected to main cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Jaipur by air.

Surat Railway station is situated in the eastern-central part of the city. The city is a major Railway junction on the Mumbai - Delhi - Ahmedabad broad gauge line. .
Thanks, Lynne. Would you or anybody know whether there are direct flights from Mumbai? I have checked on makemytrip.com and the flights seem to go to Delhi and then come to Surat :(
