Does anyone have any ideas for day trips (not a lot of walking )from Manali in Mid-September? What is there to do there?
I think you can visit Naggar and this is one place which is very much under rated but should not be missed.
You can see Naggar Castle which has the best views from that area. While you are in Naggar you should also visit Roerich Art museum which is really interesting.

Skiiing India :)))) yes Can do Skiing at Manali.
Himachal tourism offers beginners course ,and 15 days course .
Dint try skiiing in life still waana try ,you can do one day beginners course ,can do skiing too.All euipment are avialble for rent.
Only euipments Rs 150 charge,can use oneday.
Snow point near Marhi,can see all beginners trying to skiiing,its fun to watch ppl learning :)
The best place is Solang Nallah,where you have 2.5km sky run.
