Leh's best Hotel
Spic and Span is really the best hotel one can stay in. At least the manager was courteous enough to make us feel at home. Though foreigners get more preference from the waiters as they offer good tips, I guess so.
But once we made complaint to the manager everything fell into place.
Otherwise quite nice place to put up. Good wooden interiors so cold not very effective inside the room. Good service. Market at walking distance. Neat and clean.
Unique Quality: Cultural programmes hosted on request. Reasonable rates too. Per artiste 300 Rs.

A Spic n Span Hotel
We visited Leh, as a family group of 12 pax & stayed in Spic n Span Hotel. We were told not to expect luxury facilities in Leh, but I'd say that the hotel was a really good A+ class hotel. It had all amenities - hot water 24 hrs, aesthetic rooms, super-clean linen, good food, x-tra courteous staff, links with cabs, plus a doctor on call whom we needed as soon as we landed. The hotel had a cute feel, and lovely garden. The bonus point was that it was v much walkable from main Leh town & the staff did not push its own travel packages.
I do beleive that the most unique part of Leh hotels & travel agents is that they do not compete against each other, and are very co-operative in synching your prog. Loved the xperience. Peaceful & Awesome!!

Hotel Spic and Span.
Unique Quality: Our hotel was a first class one, organised through an old college friend of Husain's. The rooms were gorgeous with views of the gardens and mountains and the staff very professional. We had sumptous breakfasts in the garden surrounded by sunflowers and buzzing bees... heaven!!
