I'm looking for cheap hotel to stay near MG road or some other place at the city center. My budget is around 1000 rupee night.

I Stayed at “Hotel Modern” – Less than 3 minutes walking from CST (Victoria Terminus) – and Very Close to MG road !!
It sounds right up your street if you will pardon the pun ;-)

I know a good guesthouse for just Rs.1000/- per night. The helper there provides all the service for you too. It is CLEAN and spacious.
