Garuda is a large shopping mall located centrally within Bangalore. When you walk in you will feel like you've transported out of India. Just a typical mall with food courts, movie cinemas, plenty of shops and department stores.

I travelled from Bangalore to Mysore three years ago. We travelled by train, and the trip was quick and fairly cheap. Not able to remember the exact cost. When in Mysore try to see the Palace on a Sunday night, when it is beautifully covered in lights.

it is a resort in Madikeri hills - 245 km away from Bangalore. The weather is very very pleasant there. The place is surrounded by coffee & pepper plants. It is bordered by the River Cauvery on one side, they have also got an artificial pond where you can do fishing. In this pond they have a 'kettuvalam' this is Malyalam for houseboat (yes, you can actually stay in this boat overnight), it has a bedroom, bathroom, covered sitting area and seating on the deck. You can order for room service here and they will bring it to you - right in the middle of the pond on a smaller boat. It is very authentic as there aren't even any doors, windows etc. only chatais (mats) that can be rolled up & put downinstead. Even if you take a normal cottage - you will like it. They have activities like cycling, boating, fishing, going on a plantation tour. they also have a seperate section that offers Ayurveda massaging etc. The staff is very helpful & warm - they always greet you with your name!
