Shopping in India . . .

by Jacksprat

"Street Shop"

Imagine sitting out in the scorching sun all day just to make a few pennies to buy some food to get you through another day. Some people in India earn the equivalent of 10p (ie half a loaf of bread) a day!

"Flower Trade"

The Flower Market is a common trade on the streets of any Indian city. The whole country is a ray of bright colours ... flowers, sari's, paints...

"Another Corner Shop"

Another corner shop, although these owners are able to keep out of the sun.

"Put some colour in your life...."

Imagine, you're still a child, and you're our in the big world...working to help your family earn some money. Although genuinely proud of his shop, this boy isn't living his life as a child as many of us would have.
