Trot trot.....
The auto rickshaws are the ideal choice, even if they hike their prices when they see a non local. But if you can, the best possible way to go around Bangalore is by foot, you can explore the city best in this manner.

interested in knowing where i can get the best out of bangalore in terms of eating experience.
iam ususally put up in 4 5 star stuff and am tired of their sanitised food. i want to know good eating joints especially serving good south indian delicacies like dosa idli etc and good bengaluru thali joints.
also if anybody could give me an info on best and happening pubs/beerbars both upper end as wll as the crowded types.
this is my 3rd trip to bangalore and im just about begun discovering it.
regards
For South Indian veg food, I guess MTR on Lalbagh Road is the best bet. Considered one of the landmark eating joints for its experience in the trade, MTR is well known for their dosa and idli varieties as well as good south Indian coffee. However, be prepared to stand in long queues especially oon weekends, even for breakfast. For non-veg, there are few I will recommend: Coconut Grove on Church Street for Kerala food, Kubay opposite Koramangala Club, Koramangala for Mangalorean seafood and Ponnuswami on Residency road for Tamilnadu food.
Regarding pubs, there really are quite a few options, but my favourites are Taika on Church Street for 'happening' crowd and Geofferey's at Park Plaza for some good retro music and ambience.
well depends on which area u r.. malgudi at HSR layout, punjabi times on bannerghatta rd., athithi again on bannerghatta rd, salem kitchen at Transit, Forum are good with south indian dishes.
Try Shanti Sagar & Sukh Sagar also try Ballal Residency Road. There are lots of S Indian vegeterian hotels all Sagar ending names are S Indian, famous is Shanti Sagar & Sukh Sagar, they have restaurants in all corners of Bangalore

Most of the times the entrance is free. You can enter the palace by using the bridge in the middle of the village and by climbing the stairs. You can also decide not climbing the stairs and just walk around on the walls a bit. The view is great.
