by XxRoseannxX

Hi Prasanna_Blr,
Do you know if there is a foreign exchange window at BIAL. I can't seem to find much helpful information on their site. I have sent you an email but I'm no expert at using the vitualtourist email system. All I seem to get in reply is people's homesite.
Thanks for your help,

RE: Foreign Exchange at airport

by Prasanna_Blr

Hii,

Donot check the BIAL site ( it is the Bangalore internation airport limited site) and they are constructing this brand new internation airport outside the city limits, this airport will be ready by April 2008.

The airport where you will land will be Hindustan international, it is near to the city limits. There is a exchange center in the airport, are you landing from international or from domestic... if you are landing by international you will be able to see this exchange near the baggage collection point.
( Bangalore airport being a small one there is only one baggage belt for international), so you can easily find out, If your flight is landing at late night, then this exchange may be closed, then you have to use your credit card. There are three ATMs in the airport, one near the Pre paid taxi booth inside the arrival point.

Ask for help with the airport security guards, they will guide you the ATM immly.

How to reply or email from VT

by Prasanna_Blr

hey, its easy to reply an email at VT, instead of pressing the name under sender column, you need to press the subject, the mail will open and you can reply too.

I think you are using the mouse to press the name in the mail column, so it is taking you to user site. I have sent a mail, you can check and reply.

Travel Tips for Bangalore

Again....all Kinds of transportation

by sam_decroos

There r many modes of transportation that one can use in bangalore. Personally I feel the best way to enjoy bangalore and places around bangalore is on a motorcycle...Make sure u have ur license...or ull have a cop pounce on u like a mad dog.If u plan on going on short trips around bangalore then a motorcycle would be ideal...but make sure u ride safely coz the roads r usually crowded.U can also travel using local transportation or may be rent a car..The local transportation would cost u as less as 5 cents if u use the crowded busses. Or u could use an autorickshaw which may cost u a minimum of about 20 cents and increasing depending on the distance u travel...The taxis would cost u a minimum of $5.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden

by Willettsworld

This 240 acre (971,000 sq.m) garden is located to the south of the city centre and is one of Bangalore's main attractions. Hyder Ali commissioned the building of the garden in 1760 but his son, Tipu Sultan, completed it by importing trees and plants from several countries. It holds a number of flower shows, especially on Republic Day (26th January). The garden has over 1,000 species of flora but it's main attraction is the Glass House, modelled on London's Crystal Palace. It's a very nice and well kept garden to walk around and I did so with my auto rickshaw driver he came with me and pointed out things to me such as a 300 year old "Christmas tree".

Open: 6am-7pm. Admission: Rs10.
