The City Taxi service offered in Bangalore is a God send for those who do not have any transport within the city . Especially if you are looking at spending the entire day out you can hire a taxi for the day for about Rss 700/800 for 8 hrs or 80 kms which ever you complete first. Besides for other trips like pick up from the ariport if you arrive at some vague hour in the night . The charges after 10:30 in the night are 11/2 times the regular fare of 12Rs / km but defintely worth it as no other transport will be able that late at night .

It is also home to prestigious colleges and research institutions, the city has the second-highest literacy rate among the metropolitan cities in the nation.

It's my maiden trip to India and was glad to be able to go and experience the culture and people there.
