Going to the movies is a good introduction of the current cultural scene in Bangalore.. it is the bazaar to show off your newly acquired westerness.. what a great irony.. europeans dress like indians and the indians dress like the europeans..
but at the movie theatre shown here which is fairly expensive by local standards, you can see the up and coming elite of the city, and their pseudo american accents and put on frivolities.
more than once it becomes nauseating, but once it is good.
the movies dont matter, they are usually rubbish..
Spa and relaxation in a busy city

Bangalore doesnt have much to offer in terms of day tourism, one great place that I recently discovered is a place in the heart of the city on cunningham road called Spa.ce its a amazing indian building that has been converted in to a spa with jacuzzi etc, had a fab day there. def recommend a visit

Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh, who led the party in ending the five-year rule of the Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP government, was on Wednesday sworn in as chief minister of the state.
Governor Lt Gen (retd) J F R Jacob administered the oath of office and secrecy to 60-year-old Amarinder Singh at a simple but impressive ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh.
Amarinder, who is the 21st chief minister of the state since independence, took the oath in Punjabi.
Senior civil and administrative officials of Punjab and some newly elected Congress MLAs were among those present at the ceremony.
