by sonalidalal

I plan to take a taxi from Bangalore to Ooty. How long it will take? Which road is better-via Mysore or NH 209? Can anyone suggest good hotel in Masinagudi? Also any opinion about Kurumba Village resort in coonoor?

From Bangalore to Mysore takes about 3 hrs.
From Mysore there are 2 routes...the shortest one takes about 3 hrs.In this shortest routes, many mini buses ply.So you would be taking about 6-7hrs.
Sorry cannot reply to other questions since i don't know.

Hi,

I too am planning to go to Ooty from Bangalore in the 1st / 2nd week of June. I will be flying to attend a few business meetings in bangalore and thinking of just visiting ooty. Does anyone know whether 2 full days would be enough to see around Ooty?

Also I was told that the train is a better option from Bangalore than Taxi / Bus so I am planning to take the hill train to go and return via bus / coach as ppl say the hill train is something I shouldnt miss!!!

"My original hometown turned city."

No Photos yet. But vivid memories of the palce make me return time and again. From a small city "pensioners paradise", "Garden city" and other names it called itself, to a smoky, crowded bursting at the seams IT city, Bangalore has been transformed into what it is today.
Luckily there are still pockets within the city, which one can consider "old" and quaint and typically kannadiga. South Bangalore is where you find this appealing side to the city. Here live the natives, here is the most authentic food and markets.
