We are coming to Bangalore in the last week of March/first week of April, and require to stay in the Sahakar Nagar locality for a couple of days. We are a family of three.
Can anybody suggest a decent hotel in this locality? We do not want any fancy stuff, just three beds and clean, hygienic surroundings. Any hotel in the Rajiv Gandhi Nagar, Sonappa Layout, Devi Nagar, Sanjivini Nagar, Sanjay Nagar will do.

I would like to know if the Bangalore main railway station is in the vicinity of Sahakar Nagar? I am sure there must be plenty of lodging and boarding services available near the main railway station?
Any inputs on this from veteran Bangaloreans, as well as those who have been there and seen it all, are most welcome and much appreciated.

Empire Chain of restaurants in Bangalore have the best Kababs in town. Make sure you go there on an empty tummy.. you get awesome Kerala Parathas, Ceylon Parathas, Butter Chicken, Biryani. Service is quick if you order any of the above . Vegetarians may not find much to eat here. Chicken Kababs
I only had one morning of sightseeing in Bangalore and my hotel was outside of the city center. My impressions of it came mostly from riding through it and talking with people. It is a modern city with a lot of Western influence where it is said most Indians would like to live. I met Americans in the tech industry who said they thought they were there to train their replacements. It still retains a flavor of old India but it is definitely a city pursuing the future.
