It has become a ritual..to visit Premier Book Store, in between Church Street and MG Road opposite the govt Coffee house ( with a cup full of steaming coffee from there if possible)..The owner is a delightful man with a profound knowledge of what is being published in India and available. He will get you the books you want.. My purchases on 27th september included:

He spread before me another twenty to thirty titles all of which I wanted to buy, but I am travelling with just my computer and a small shoulderbag, which makes it difficult to shlepp, but i plan to ship a large number of books from Premier Bookstore to Paris where I hope I can find time to read them in between sips of champagne.

The oldest ugliest looking templecomplex is in fact the prettiest. You can see remarkable views from here, watch the jungle like buildings, spy on the vulgars and parrots flying around and enjoy the beautiful flowers here.

My boyfriend and me were walking around and then two villagers came walking next to us and asked us if we wanted to see it. One opened up the lock of the gate with his key and let us in. The men were talking about the history and showed us the way up in one of the main buildings...

Very high in the building they stopped and showed us a window. When you looked trough it, you could see big beenests and nests of vulgars...

The vulgars live on top of the roofs. They are not very agressive, only when you come to close they will see you as a threat.

Yes, even more vulgars. Never saw these animals in the wild before I made this trip!

The picture is a bit dark, but this was as close as I could come to one of the nests.

Indiana Jones look-a-like temples like these are often seen from here :)

When we climbed out of the main building again, we took alook at the large property around the temple complex. The flowers looked marvellous here.
