I would like advice on a hotel in the center of Bangalore. Around 1000 roupees, clean, simple but friendly.
Can anybody give me a name and email-address. We need to make a reservation.

the most amazing hotel in that budget is hotel allgate on residency road. its in the heart of bangalore. its clean and safe and an AC double room will cost u about RS 1000.

Just get either a daily pass which costs 20 rupees or buy a monthly all bus all route pass at 425 rupees, you get a ID card for rupees 20. you can travel in any bus and it is the most inexpensive and convenient mode of transport especially if you are a new visitor
