I need to travel to Bangalore on business to meet some of the technology firms. Id like to bring my 14 year old daughter for a life experience and was wondering whether anyone can recommend a highly reputable, extremely safe guardian/ tourist guide whilst im in the meetings? Would this be recommended or am I just asking for trouble!

This is a very difficult question to answer. Your daughter is very young, and thus vulnerable. No recommendation should be taken at face value.
I suggest that once you settle on accommodation or hotel- they may be able to recommend someone. Because their reputation rests entirely upon your & daughter's safety- hotels would not give you bad advice.
Thanks Lynne. I have to admit my wife just seen my post and agrees with you entirely! I thought though that others might have used someone that they recommend - as you say - difficult to trust anybody when its your daughter!
Bangalore is a very safe city, but leaving your daughter in some others care is not recommended,
If you want to send her for visit of tourist places in bangalore, then the government of karnataka runs the kstdc trips, you can send her in these, but only for the day trips and not for the trips which required to stay in other places.

Did you try talking to the guys at the firm that you are visiting.
One of their Driver/known person can help.
Over all I think its better off that u drop her visit plan.

Driver's are the least to be trusted. India is a different animal and you can't trust anyone in the scenario your explaining.
Might be better off to send her to some reputed dance or some kind of extra curriculat activity institution and evenings and weekends you could take her to see places.

MY TRIP TO SOUTH INDIA
I have just returned from a trip to South India. A lot of new experiences, new friends and lots of wonderful places. I will be updating my India pages all through this week.

I really enjoyed Cubbon Park because once you walk into the grounds it feels like you step out of the city. The air feels clearer, it is MUCH quieter and very peaceful. The grounds were kept very clean and tidy it was the first time I saw how Bangalore got the name "The Garden City"
