chennai - hampi - coorg
by princess_guls
Hi
We are planning a trip in late dec - early jan. The route we would like to do is Chennai or Bangalore, then going to Hampi (2 days) and proceed to Coorg (3-4 days). Would like to know is anyone has done this route and what is the best possible transport and route for this trip.
1. Are the road connections good between these places?
2. Are there places between Hampi and Madikeri that we can make a stopover at?
3. Absolutely recommended things to do in Coorg.

At Coorg, enjoy the home stays in planatations. The road conditions on the sector seems to be OK, considering that we have some of the worst roads on Bangalore-Mangalore route.

Travel Tips for Bangalore
Bustling Brigade Road
by Tijavi about Too many to name
Serious shoppers looking for quality but affordable Indian-made clothes (both traditional and Western) should head to Brigade Road. But choices are not limited to clothes only - one could almost get anything from this shopping district, which together with Commercial St and MG Road, make up the nucleus of Bangalore's shopping and commercial district.
One more important tip: the narrow sidewalks could be so crowded at certain times of the day, particularly in late afternoon to early evening - another typical case of poor urban planning and infrastructure lagging behind development. Good thing is, pickpockets, which are common in most crowded shopping districts, are very uncommon here (at least I am not aware that it's a problem here). Best buys would be branded clothes (vs. more generic ones in Commercial St). Shoe stores are also aplenty in this area. Cash or card or mixed
Aquarium
by Doggins
Unfortunately the aquarium wasn't much to write about. If you are an Australian you are better off just going to a pet store and visiting the the gold fish.... It wasnt much bigger than that......
Entry was just 5/- (about 12 cents)
