Place you would recommend to others, after stay......
Ginger Mysore is a nice hotel..........the service, especially the room cleaning and travel arrangement service was excellent.........Location wise it is nice as it is very quite nearby and is only 6-7 mins taxi ride from the main market place..........food is average, but one can easily avail other good restaurants at the market place, e.g. Ramanashree, President etc.
Please make sure that your booking is confirmed well before check in date if you are booking through travel agents or travel websites...........prefer Gingers official website for booking...............I booked through Clear Trip, Hotel officials kept me waiting during check in, for about 20 mins saying that you don't have booking, inspite of producing the booking voucher, first they refused to cooperate but later when I insisted, they asked me to wait and later suddenly said that yes you do have a booking and I checked in................thereafter the stay was nice and smooth..............
A great place to stay
I got the room in Ginger for 1150 per night for which I can say it is a great value for money. The normal rates I think are 2500 per night for which I wouldn't recommend this place. The hotel is located close to mostly all main attractions like palace, zoo, restaurants etc. It is very neat and clean and well maintained, housekeeping staff does a great job too. The reception and travel desk are helpful too.
The only drawback according to me was rooms were little compact and not much space to move around. Having a coffee day coupled to them is an advantage.
I would definitely recommend this to people for the price I paid. :)
Modern hotel where everything works, and even good disabled access
I booked this hotel through their own website and was most impressed with the efficiency of that. The hotel itself was similarly efficient. In Europe this would be what one expected, but for India it was a wonderful surprise. The price for a room with twin beds was Rs 1679.
The room had comfortable beds, decent bathroom, fridge, complimentary bottled water, kettle and tea and coffee. There are lifts and a good coffee bar, plus very cheap meals. There is an ATM on site and an outside seating area, though that is really in the car park and could be improved.
Mysore itself was a great place, loads of interesting things to see. It was good to be just outside the bustle of the main town, but a short rickshaw ride away.
Value for money
Located in mysore city very near to famous palace & around 15 km from Vridnavan garden. Good rooms with lot of care to cut costs without limiting services to customers. Only problem is, we need to book rooms pretty early by paying money which is generally not common with other hotels. Good food provided at dinner sometime buffet or ordering by card.
Overall very good for business as well as to stay with family.
Economy, but that's it!
Ginger brand of hotels comes across as a very economical, clean, tidy, no-frills, self - service chain of hotels and Ginger Mysore is no exception. The rooms are small, tidy, clean and no-frills. The cost is nominal (approximately Rs.1000/- for a double room).
But that's probably about it that you can expect out of the hotel. The hotel does not have a proper restaurant except the Coffee Day outlet at the lobby. Since I was travelling with family and kids, I had a tough time organising for dinner and breakfast the next morning. One can't obviously expect to eat sandwiches / burgers and drink cold coffee for breakfast, lunch and dinner, right?
If you are travelling alone or with friends and are on transit and are just looking for a place to nest overnight, this is the best place - value for money, clean, no-frills.
If you are visiting Mysore for sightseeing, looking to stay for a few days, or are with family, look for a hotel amongst hundreds of them in Mysore at a comparable cost which come with restaurants.

I was very skeptical when i was booking this hotel. But finally when I landed there, whole process was so smooth and hotel was just great!!
Over stay was so sweet and pleasant. I would recommend every one for this hotel.
