The place was pleasant and clean with its own beach. And , it has a pool.
The view you get from the balcony of sea-facing rooms, from the restaurant, and from the pool is really nice.
While it is tucked away, and has its own beach, this place also is about 5 minutes walk to the Lighthouse beach. Lighthouse beach is where most of the life happens in Kovalam.
The breakfast is complimentary, which was pretty good with both local and continental cusine. I would recommend the beach side shacks for your other meals.
They have another place as well. So make sure where your booking is before you go. Call them and confirm. I've given the web link below.
Hi, probably am going to Kerala in December 2004 with my mother for two weeks. I don't know anything about Kerala, can anyone recommend me which hotels I should stay at and what are things to do? I would prefer a more luxurious hotel or boat house, thanks

You will find all you need about Kerala
I recommend Casino @ Kochi and Somatheeran near Trivandrum . Both these hotels also arrange boat houses .
I had booked a 2 bed boat house for a friend of mine and myself and though the boat was for 4 people found it just right amount space etc for 2. The food on the boat was fantastic and the trip magical . Be prepared for some mosquitoes.
Somatheeran is an ayurvedic spa and is built on the cliffs, so there can be some element of climbing steps if your room/cottage is further down the cliff.
Have fun....Kerala is heaven.
Hi There, You should have a great time in Kerala, I was there Jan this year. I'd agree with the previous reply about The Casino Hotel in Kochi, plus if you're visiting Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, Spice Village is a great place to stay. I was there New Years Eve, and there was a Gala dance/ buffet.
If you want more info about these 2 hotels, please check out my Kochi and Periyar pages, plus my Kerala, Kovalam, Munnar and Trivandrum pages for some info about the places I visited.
If you need more info, please e mail me.
