im thinking of visiting munnar for a week in november,as i would probs be flying in to cochin, can anyone give me an idea of the price, and length of time (to get to munnAR) of an air con taxi for wife and i and suitcases from cochin to munnar,AND ANY OTHER ADVICE,THANKS
At the cochin airport, there aregood taxis available.Mostly you wil be quoted the same price.Though it might be a bit pricy if you engage the taxi from airport(instead in the city), it would be safe for you.Since you would be visiting a hill station, they would charge you amore than the plains.
Since you will be visiting in Nov, it is difficult to say NOW what the price would be.This is because when ever the fuel prices rises, so also the taxi prices.
It takes about 4hrs to reach munnar one way but also depends on the traffic enroute.
Most of the taxis are not airconditioned as i experienced and so you might need to wait for some time till a aircin taxi is found.
