Our Terrible experience@ Isaac's Residency, Munnar
We have booked an executive room for two days from Dec 29th of 2011 - Dec 31st of 2011 in this hotel through 'Makemytrip' at 5500 INR per day. We are unable to stay at-least for 24 hours, we've checked out of the room just in one day even though we had paid for two days. We are terribly shocked with their amenities, service, furniture and food. Hot water timings are 6 am - 10 am and 6 pm - 10 pm. Furniture is too old, some of them are broken. Most of the staff were not able to speak hindi and english. Room service Staff are really rude and arrogant. TV they have provided us would be at-least 10 year old in which mostly are Tamil and Malayalam channels. Phone was not in working condition. Rest room was not clean and the staff said Toilet cleaner (Phenyl) is their room freshner. I am just wondering how other people rated their stay as pleasant in this hotel. We had requested the staff to provide us a room warmer, we were unable to bear the coldness. For which we are blessed with a cheap quality blanket from their staff which was stinking. Plates were not clean, they had stains. I will not suggest this hotel to my friends.

A neat resting place in Munnar Town
A cosy hotel with all modern facilities in the heart of the town.The restaurant is nice and so is the service.

munnars best middle level accomodation
we arrived in munnar around evening 4 pm thro dense fog which had reduced visibility to zero as we climbed up thro the tea estates.
suddenly around a turn we experienced that we had climbed above the mist and clouds and had entered munnar.a light drizzle had made the roads wet.
we had done a lot of recon on munnar on inet and even after extensive surfing we were clueless as where to stay.
we had mentally prepared for isaacs residency and edassery eastend both were centrally located and both were in munnar town.
edassery is located below the ground level and the quality of views is poor. so we checked out a few hotels before we decided to see isaacs residency.
the recently refurbished isaacs residency is a gem of a place.clean spotless and a offseason discount.
we took 2 interconnecting rooms which made up quite a large place for us as a family.
room service was quick they gave us additional blankets bedsheets and two floorbeds without charging extra!!!!!
food ordered from the restaurant was moderately priced but good in quality presentation was good clean plates good quality cutlery and spoons.
spanking clean bathrooms with innovatively placed exhaust fans.
warm water between 6-10am and 6-10pm not 24 hrs as they advertise.
central location with good lot of eateries around in case u decide not to eat in the hotel.
Unique Quality: the decor of the hotel is excellent.

good breakfast area/coffeeshop "three rivers" restaurant "icebar"pub.
a good quality glass elevator which gives views of the surroundings.
