I suppose you want to stay at Munnar with your family which lies on the border of Tamilnadu & Kerala. When you finish your Munnar trip and travel down south to Ooty, you will come across a beautiful dreamland, Kurumba Village Resorts situated adjacent to the ghat road between Ooty and Mettuppalayam at the area known as Upper Burliar. This could be reached also by one of the most romantic of vehicles: The Nilgiri Mountain Train except that you reach Coonoor and travel by road for 12 kms.

Just to let you all know that I spent my summer holiday vacation during the month of May at Kurumba Village Resort in Ooty & Coonoor & witnessed the enchanting scenic beauty of the Nilgiris & Kurumba Village. I also found rejuvenating specially prepared Indian herbal medicines at Cottages for longevity at Coonoor & Ooty, Tamilnadu in India. God! He reminds me of his own land - the beautiful Kurumbadi village!

Unique Quality: In keeping with the life style of the ancient Kurumba folk, Kurumba cottages are airy and exotic with their Kurumba - tribal - styled roofed cottages, which are, pyramid shaped and bright interiors with pristine color and tiled work roofs. The suites are two storey with the bedroom upstairs and the dressing room downstairs. The bedrooms are with king size beds and windows large enough to meet the floor and the ceiling.

A large Restaurant with 30-feet-tall tiled roof and enticing ceiling, Kurumba resorts serve a multi-cuisine spread. Whether you are planning a workshop, a management seminar, marketing or training session, Kurumba resorts can customise its facilities to meet individual needs and ensure a memorable event. JD Resorts: Munnar's best kept secret

I went there for my honeymoon in November.Couldnt have gone to a better place.On advice from the resort's management we stayed in their luxury tree house & i should say we had a memorable honeymoon.The staff were really courteous,sevice impeccable,though they do not have a restaurant operational at the time,they made food to order which is quite reasonable ,not to mention tasty.The resort itself is set in a cardamom plantation with tall trees & offers spectacular views of the mountains and a pristine lake.

The amenities were not 5 * but were clean and tidy,with everything provided for.

A nice cosy accomodation with homely feel and secluded location.Overall we had the perfect honeymoon.

Good place for families also as you can have the entire resort for yourself but with prior notice.

Unique Quality: The tree house with the glass roof and the balconies with huge glass frames open to give a spectacular view of the lake and mountains all around.You feel like birds,free to fly staying in the tree house.I havent heard of any such tree house in INDIA!To add to the uinique experience the tree house approach is by a hanging wooden bridge which is an experience in itself.

The resort is ideal for those looking to spend time away from the busy streets of Munnar offering you the utmost privacy and unparalelled views that too at very reasonable prices.

The management accepts PETS at the property.

blackburry hills resort: good place

3 days were well spent. it is a nice clean quiet place. the service is good n the rooms have a very good view. it is on a hill slide and lot of steep walking up n down. not a good idea for old people and unfit people
