Johns' Home stay: Our best ever home stay
We had a greatttttt time at Thekkady and Munnar.
At Munnar we stayed at Johne' s Homestay.
The stay was woderful.. reasonable price too..
It is situated around half a kilometer from Munnar. U just cross that iron bridge and drive towards to kochi route after half a kilometer on the left side of the road John's Homestay will come. It is on the bank of a river. Nice stay If u wish they will provide breakfast and dinner too..
Gud homely food.
Keep an eye for my forthcoming page on Munnar...will write more abt this trip soon.
Very near to the main Munnar bus stop and the other happening place of munnar..
A home away from home..:)

JD Resorts: Munnar's best kept secret
I went there for my honeymoon in November.Couldnt have gone to a better place. On advice from the resort's management we stayed in their luxury tree house & i should say we had a memorable honeymoon. The staff were really courteous, sevice impeccable, though they do not have a restaurant operational at the time, they made food to order which is quite reasonable ,not to mention tasty. The resort itself is set in a cardamom plantation with tall trees & offers spectacular views of the mountains and a pristine lake.
The amenities were not 5 * but were clean and tidy, with everything provided for.
A nice cosy accomodation with homely feel and secluded location.Overall we had the perfect honeymoon.
Good place for families also as you can have the entire resort for yourself but with prior notice.
The tree house with the glass roof and the balconies with huge glass frames open to give a spectacular view of the lake and mountains all around. You feel like birds, free to fly staying in the tree house.I havent heard of any such tree house in INDIA!To add to the uinique experience the tree house approach is by a hanging wooden bridge which is an experience in itself.
The resort is ideal for those looking to spend time away from the busy streets of Munnar offering you the utmost privacy and unparalelled views that too at very reasonable prices.
The management accepts PETS at the property.

JD Homestay: Best place to stay
The accomodation was very good and reasonable. For a room with a view of the Anairangal dam , we were changed 1600 rs per day.. ( club Mahindra and other resorts charge rs 4500)
The resort is surrounded by dense forests and cardamom estates. Though the resort didnt have a restaurent when we visited, the owner was kind enough to arrainge for a cook . we were charged 600 rs per day for tea, breakfast, lunch and dinner, which for both of us was a very good deal.
Great view from the tree top house, very warm and friendly staff. great experience in all.

Holiday Heaven Munnar: Holiday Heaven - a cool place to stay!!
My beautiful experiences at holiday heaven munnar can never be forgotten. The blue skies and high hills, tea gardens, natural thick forests, rustling leaves in the fragrant winds and beautiful waterfalls has made Munnar the perfect destination. Holiday Heaven: Munnar's Best New Property
I just came across this hotel when I was going around and wanted to check it out. It was a pleasant surprise & was a brand new property.
The Surroundings: Clean & well maintained
The Rooms: Individual cottage type both for couples as well as families
The hotel being new, the restaurant wasnt functional but you get some decent dining options outside.
The owner is coming up with a new swimming pool & tennis court for the fitness freaks.
Had a pleasant surprise on my my wedding anniversarywith a decorated room.
The view is excellent & you can just sit on the cottage porch & enjoy the sun & the views.

Kurumba Village Resorts: Hotels & Resorts in Coonoor & Ooty, India
I suppose you want to stay at Munnar with your family which lies on the border of Tamilnadu & Kerala. When you finish your Munnar trip and travel down south to Ooty, you will come across a beautiful dreamland, Kurumba Village Resorts situated adjacent to the ghat road between Ooty and Mettuppalayam at the area known as Upper Burliar. This could be reached also by one of the most romantic of vehicles: The Nilgiri Mountain Train except that you reach Coonoor and travel by road for 12 kms.
Just to let you all know that I spent my summer holiday vacation during the month of May at Kurumba Village Resort in Ooty & Coonoor & witnessed the enchanting scenic beauty of the Nilgiris & Kurumba Village. I also found rejuvenating specially prepared Indian herbal medicines at Cottages for longevity at Coonoor & Ooty, Tamilnadu in India. This is a website - http://www.kurumbavillageresort.com , I would rather recommend everyone to have a look at it first before you make up your mind for staying at Kurumba Village Hotels & Resorts. God! He reminds me of his own land - the beautiful Kurumbadi village!
In keeping with the life style of the ancient Kurumba folk, Kurumba cottages are airy and exotic with their Kurumba - tribal - styled roofed cottages, which are, pyramid shaped and bright interiors with pristine color and tiled work roofs. The suites are two storey with the bedroom upstairs and the dressing room downstairs. The bedrooms are with king size beds and windows large enough to meet the floor and the ceiling.
A large Restaurant with 30-feet-tall tiled roof and enticing ceiling, Kurumba resorts serve a multi-cuisine spread. The place is reachable and has a restaurant. Our group had the rooms overlooking the valley. It is basic hotel and Tariff range is in budjet ranje starting from Rs 1250.Don't keep high expectations as the Hotel has few staff, but they are very coperative.Especially Mr Francis who is always ready to serve.

Cloud 9 Resorts: Peaceful resort
It was a ideal resort for relaxing, but a little far off from the main city of munnar where u have to shel down lot of money for transfers. Make sure u book one of these rooms well in advance to avoid last minute disapponitment. Abv all its a peaceful place far from the city.

ELYSIUM GARDEN RESORTS, MUNNAR , INDIA
Stay at Elysium garden resort was a worst experience i ever had, it was a mess made by travel guru and more by the hotel management,
the standard room of elysium was worst than a lodge room and they still justify by saying "its our budget room", which has a cracked false roofing, broken door locks, with marks on wall, NO SHOWER IN THE BATHROOM and worst is the whole room stinks.
the hotel reception is useless they can't decide and the manager is not available, which took me three hours to resolve the issue by waiting for the manager. worst of all after shifting to their cottage n loosing part of my payement, cuting short my trip they again hold me for an hour cause they havent recieved payement from tarvelguru, where as i had paid one month in advance.
the management seems to be least concerned about putting such untrained, unethical and irresponsible staff at the front office.
I SUGGEST AVOID ELYSIUM
