A pleasurable stay

A pretty comfortable room i should mention.But unfortunately the time i visited was during the May-June 2010 and was quite humid which otherwise is cold n chilly.

So a very important factor was that the room lacked the presence of the fan...however it was later replaced by another room.....The facility was well above satisfactory and the bell boys were also very jovial...The front desk controller and the chain director Mr.Basil John was very pleasing....

Overall a good hotel for a pretty good price.I would suggest that you may book the hotel via some agents which might enable you to get a quite interesting discount and a worthy priced hotel...

But to add the restaurant attached to it the Silver spoon is a li'l above the market priced but yet is still worth a try....

Unique Quality: Facilities to mention in Munnar inn is quite few...but here are some for the road...

1.Airy room
2.Round the clock hot water facility
3.Cordial room service
4.Calm and cozy...

1.Poor view as its in the city centre
2.A huge river of stairs to climb above...for those who are stayin in the room above 8

first of all there are two guru restaurants in munnar or so it seems. the one iam referring to is on the road connecting isaacs residency/edassery eastend hotel to tea county the KTDC resort.
in off season we were not so sure of which eatery to select as we had not seen too many restaurants in munnar although there were a lot of boards. some as munnar inn were looking city types with "nescafe" on menu what happened to good old south indian filter coffee.
i discovered gurus on day 1 itself. i had set out for early morning walk. while returning i could hear the familiar buzz of the kitchen stoves and open door with few early morning customers.
i met the head waiter mohan dressed in a lungi. he confidently answered whats available. i could make out that it wasa running hotel.
i put an idea across to my family abt guru and they agreed. instead of cosmetic dosas and idlis in 5 star hotels i love the rustic stuff.
gurus treated us to a lovely fare. best is veg clear soup dont miss on this dish.it may seem outlandish to try it in gurus but they make it better than anyone i know.
fresh steaming appams with chana masala/egg roast.
usual uttapa idli etc
good non veg chicken and fish dishes.

I am planning to go to munnar between 12th and 15th January '08 along with the family members of around 20.I dont want to have luxurious hotels to stay.its enough if i can be accomodated in a very simple and cheap hotel.can anyone please suggest me some hotels for my need?
