Best Value For Money Homestay in Munnar

Ranger Woods is a pleasant little homestay about 3 kms away from Munnar Town. Mr Sunil, the propreitor, stays on the property with his elderly parents. The service we received was simply top notch, and really gave us no room to complain. The rooms are basic and clean. The food is also worth writing home about. At the time we were there, all 4 rooms were occupied even though it was off-season.

Considering that we paid under $30 per night (including breakfast and taxes), we really weren't expecting much. But I am happy to say that the value we received was far more than what we paid for. The next time we are in Munnar, we already know where to stay!

Since you are starting from chennai, i will suggest a different idea. If it suits, then you can execute. Try coimbatore - > Pollachi -> Munnar. If you can catch train to coimbatore, Then pollachi is just 40 kms from coimbatore. You can hire a cab or avail the TNSTC Bus service which will cheaper. There are many beautiful places in and around pollachi.

Some of them are Aliyar Dam,The Siruvani Waterfalls,Thirumoorthy Temple,Topslip,Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary and many more. There are many descent hotels in pollachi for a reasonable rates. For more info on pollachi plz visit www.pollachi.com.

After sight seeing in pollachi, you can move to Munnar which is only 160 Kms away. It will take 4hrs and have a great sight seeing there.

Thanks a lot, But we are planning to cover both Munnar and Kodaikanal in 4 days.
So We were thinking like:

main point = madhurai.

from madhurai to munnar(2 days) then return to madhurai.

then from madhurai to kodaikanal(2 days).

Like we want to know is thr any way to save time for return from munnar to madhurai. And we can directly reach from munnar to kodaikanal.

Also , what are the things we should be aware of while on trip to munnar and kodaikanal.
