Best location and views
Sienna Village is laid out as a series of cottages on landscaped gardens. Some have an upstairs and downstairs with a balcony, and some just have one floor with a sitout. The cottages are neat, clean and cozy. Most people opt for the Breakfast and Dinner plans, these are served as sumptuous buffets, outdoors, weather permitting. The food is excellent. The hotel is in Chinnakanal which is about 20km away from Munnar town towards Periyar. There is a high mountain range immediately behind the hotel and the beautiful lake Anaierankal in the deep valley below. Some rooms get a view of both. The staff are very polite and helpful especially the F&B Manager Joseph. Facilities for drivers are available, and it is better to have a car and driver available as it is not otherwise easy to get around from Chinnakanal. The Kolukumalai high altitude tea estate is barely five minutes drive away towards Suryanelli, the mountain behind the hotel has a walkable pathway which starts about 1km away from the hotel. To get to Munnar town, you will have to pass the Lockhart Gap which gives great views of Bison valley below, when the clouds lift. Then comes Devikulam, a quiet tea estate area with two lakes, after this is the Chokkanadu tea estate leading upto Munnar town.

Availability of Internet access in Munnar Town ?
I would be travelling to Munnar this week, but something has come up at the last minute that requires internet access for about 30 minutes on Monday evening. I'm scheduled to stay at a place called Las Palmas hotel.
Anyone know whether there are internet browsing / ISD calling services in Munnar Town? Would be grateful for any information.
(According to the hotel/travel agent, Munnar Town is about 5 kms from the hotel). The hotel does not have international calling / business center apparently.
Availability of Internet access in Munnar Town ?
Vanakam, I stayed at the a place called "Sienna Village" when I was in Munnar in 2001, & even then, they had internet access.
I suspect things would have improved considerably after all this time :)
Perhaps you could have dinner at Sienna Village's "Spice Mill" restaurant, & afterwards, use their business centre & internet facility.
