Have you heard of Aquaserene?

by SabrinaSummerville

I have booked a week in the Aquaserene resort next year, but there is very little to be found about it online.

Some of the older write-ups list it as a 2 star resort, but the more modern ones say it's 5-star. Being very much a 5-star-girl, I wonder if anyone knows anything about the resort? It's a bit late to cancel it, but at least I can be prepared :-)

Hi
Aquaserene is certainly a better hotel than a 2 * My rating would certainly be 3* plus . A 4* rating would surely be pushing the limits. A fine hotel to spend a week unwinding Take the cruise on the backwaters and a massage is certainly on
Need more info mail me
Cheers

Hi ,
I have been to this resort a couple of times and our company had organised certain functions where our top international clients stayed there. I found it to be of a better resort .these kind of classifications on star does not have any value. you can be assured about the place. I found it to be a better place to stay than some of the resorts elsewhere in the world. Take care and have a great trip to Kerala

Although auto rickshaws in Trivandrum has meters, Rs. 1, 2 more added to the meter price is always appreciated. If you fail to give this small tip, auto driver may insist. Don't be defensive - petrol cost is going up and the minimum fee for auto hasn't changed long since.

Attukal Bhagavathy Temple

by ajayzener

Attukal Bhagavathy Temple is situated about 2Km from the East Fort in Trivandrum. Considered to be the sabarimala of women, this temple is famous for its annual pongala festival.

The legends say that the temple was made by the Mulluveetil family. One day when the head of the family was performing his daily obulations in the river, a girl requested his help to cross the river. Charmed by the girls charisma he not only helped her cross the river but also invited her home. But before she could reach his place she vanished. Later in the night he had a dream where the godess appeared in front of him and asked his help to built her an abode in a particular place. Thus the temple was constructed and the idol installed. The Attukal Bhagawati is supposed to be the divinised form of Kanaki, an incarnation of Godess Parvati.
