trivandrum airport taxi

by johnfreda

Arriving from UK soon, where do you book the fixed price taxi at the airport

Re: trivandrum airport taxi

by abi_maha

All airports have a prepaid taxi service counter, near the exit. Book from there itself, otherwise it is best to get a taxi from the hotel you have booked into.

Hi,
Trivandum airport is quite small and easy to negotiate. The pre-paid taxi stand is almost next to the exit, on your left-hand side. If I remember correctly, I did write a tip on my Trivandrum page.
Enjoy this wonderful city.

Get wet or carry an Umbrella

by ajayzener

One thing to be kept in mind while travelling to any place in kerala is the Umbrella, plastic shoes and a rain coat. Be prepared for unpredictable rains. It may just happen when you are admiring the sun out in the open. The rainy season starts in the month of june and goes uptill Aug. After which it again starts off in the month of Oct till Dec.

But unsesonal rains may play spoilt sport during other months too.. Plastic shoes and rain coat a must, if you land up in the rainy season.

Sankhumugham Beach

by ushar

Sankhumugham Beach is very near to Trivandrum Internationa Airport and 8 kms away from the Trivandrum city. Sunset watching is interesting to viewers. An indoor recreation club, the matsya kanyaka \mermaid ( sculpture made by famous Kanayi Kunjuraman) and restaurant shaped like a star fish are some of the attractions.

Varkala Beach

by SirRichard

Varkala (50 kms north of Trivandrum) is a wonderful little paradise. It has a nice cozy beach, fantastic cliffs with palm trees and is one of the main pilgrimage centers in the State.
Though it has a very touristic side (up in the cliffs), you can still find unspoiled places if you go to the town or visit the temples.
