An upmarket choice...
You don't have a lot of possibilities if you try to find an accommodation in Gwalior. Given the fact that the city is more or less off the beaten track, midrange options are practically non-existent. Either you stick to to very budget or you have to take one of the 2 "top-end" hotels in the city centre.
The Central Park is a good option, although not cheap. Definitely not for a place like Gwalior. A double deluxe A/C room costs 2700.- Rs. For this price you will get what you expect. Immaculately clean rooms, large and well-kept bathroom with complimentary gadgets, TV, minibar, room service, laundry service. They have a swimming pool as well, (guests only) although it was not operational during our stay because of cleaning. I was a little angry about it since when making my reservation on phone I asked about the swimming pool and I was not warned about it.
They also have a bar (not so well-equipped) where it is possible to have a Kingfisher for the usual hotel price (100.- Rs.) It is a good thing since night life is practically non-existent in Gwalior and outside the 2 "top-end" hotels you are not going to find any place where beer is served.
