Yogi Sharma Ashram Lodge: A Oasis in Khajuraho
I spent a week here and took in the much needed tranquility.
This place is highly recommended by the Lonely Planet. The lodge is a bit out of town so it’s nice and quiet unlike Khajuraho itself. It’s also close enough, so town is an easy walk or bike ride away.
I found the harassment factor to be quite high in Khajuraho and don’t think I would have enjoyed my stay in the town if it wasn’t for the tranquility of the lodge.
When you’re staying at the Lodge be sure to attend the free Yoga classes that are offered most mornings. The classes are conducted by Yogi Sharma himself.
If you get the opportunity sit down and talk with the Yogi himself, he is one of the highlights of the lodge. He is an amazing man and gave us wonderful readings of our past lives and our future.
If you need to stay in town the Yogi has a lodge in the middle of town.
The lodge sent our laundry out for an amazing price and the food at the lodge is good.
Rooms run from 100 to 300 RS - I belive we paid close to US $4 a night
