You can't book a 2 berth sleeper. In 1. Class are a few compartment with only
2 berths in them (called coupe) and if you are lucky you might get one, but as
I said you can't book it.
Also why not book your ticket on the IRCTC website rather than wasting time at
the station...

YOU CAN ALSO GO BY NETRAVATI EXPRESS WHICH IS FROM LAKMANYA TILAK TERMINAL (KURLA MUMBAI)TO TRIVANDRAM.
THIS IS A BETTER TRAIN

Travel Tips for Mumbai

The bridge over troubled traffic

by georeiser

Mumbai's bridge over troubled traffic and a densely inhabited area of mostly muslims. Without this bridge it would have taken two hours to get from the southern parts of the city to Bandra area and the northern parts.

COMMUNICATION FACILITIES

by Amitu

The Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) has a telephone network with around 2 million lines installed all over the city. MTNL now has a competitor in Hughes Telecom, another telephone service provider. There are several public phone booths with local, national (STD) and international (ISD) facilities. Most local phones are coin operated. MTNL also offers prepaid cards. The city is now also dotted with Internet parlours, making communication easier.

The city has a GSM based mobile phone network, covering the suburban area. There are two major brands i.e., Orange and BPL Mobile. Mobile phones are also available for hire, with prepaid SiM Cards.
Call Orange on 432 1111 and BPL Mobile on 497 1800

Sugarcane stalls

by M.E.R.V

The sugarcane stall is along almost every major road in Mumbai. Sugarcane juice is very popular in many parts of Asia and there's a special machine used to drain the juice off the sugarcane. It is quite amusing to watch if you haven't seen it before. I love how the sugarcane is placed on the sides of the stall...how classic! Fancy quenching your thirst? Try some natural sugar!

Construction - India style

by HarShe

On a recent road trip from Mumbai to Pune, this sight was very impressive! Even major construction is manual but highly cordinated & 'efficient'. After all this is one way of keeping the unemployment rate under control!

Between this hard work, the 'poor' workers have a moment to have a laugh!! Isn't that a wonderful sight!

My Travel Diary

by SirRichard

In 2001 I made a trip to South India. A lot of new experiences, new friends and lots of wonderful places.

I have uploaded a Travel Diary in a travelogue. It's in spanish, but I have translated the text in english. So you can enjoy some watercolor drawings and follow my steps day by day.
