There are many places where you can buy tea in Mumbai.
At Crawford Market you will find a good selection. It is also a grand old building, worth visiting. A blend of Norman and Gothic architectural styles, with friezes on the outside entrance depicting Indian farmers, and the stone fountains inside, the building was designed by Lockwood Kipling, father of novelist Rudyard Kipling.
In Colaba area there are also many markets and shops that will sell good quality tea. Just wander around this interesting area- good shopping for just about everything. And near Gateway to India.

Travel Tips for Mumbai

Fantastic restaurant options

by travelmad478

I've put some of my restaurant experiences in my Restaurant Tips. In general, Bombay can be a fantastic place to eat. Dozens of cuisines can be found around town, and armed with a little research, you can spend your whole time here and never have even a mediocre meal.

Few visitors to Mumbai are aware that it is the only metropolis in the world with 104 square kilometers of virgin forest within its borders. The Sanjay Gandhi National Park, better known as the Borivli National Park, offers a pleasant change from the usual sights and attractions of the big city.

Favourite activity: horning :-)

by Polly74

Sitting in a car in Mumbai can sometimes be worrisome and amusing.
Worrisome because they're driving like crazy...moving from one lane to the other and dabbing other cars without creating accidents.
Amusing because they are using the horn every second, for nothing. Actually I didin't understand if using the horn there means "please go, don't worry" or "you #€%#!"

Packing List

by ASHFAQUE

For long hauls- carry a suitcase. Why? -becoz you are gonna buy a lot of stuff from bombay to take back with you. Jeans and shorts are ideal. You can also BUY very cheap clothes from the 182 shops lined up at Fashion street or Linking road. Wear em'- toss em' at the end of the trip or even better- give them to charity! Cool cottons are ideal. (PICTURE OF FASHION STREET ON THE SIDE) AVAILABLE AT VERY CHEAP PRICES AT EVERY LOCAL CONVINIENT STORE AVAILABLE AT VERY CHEAP PRICES AT EVERY LOCAL CONVINIENT STORE- batteries, rolls, converters for the equipment to work at the voltage running in the city. (yes- you can get all electric supplies too at the small local convinient stores) No campsites in the city vicinity-Camping not recommended

To The Foot of the Hill

by keeweechic

At the other end of the pier are a few stalls selling handcrafts, souvenirs and refreshments as well as a few cafe’s for something more substantial. You will then see the stone stairs which meanders fairly steeply up to the top of the hill to where the caves are.
