 | Ramee Guestline Hotel Juhu: Decent, but watch out for the noisy disco!

On my first night here I wasnt happy. Firstly because the hotel seems to be on an out of the way shabby road, but in the morning I realised it wasnt so bad; the people outside are friendly enough and its near the beach. Secondly, there is a disco called rock bottom in the basement. It seemingly has no sound proofing, and it is no exaggeration to say that my matress and glasses in my room were reverberating til 3am. This is a big problem as I was staying here for almost 3 weeks and was thinking of walking out. i asked to be moved to a quiet room and they moved me to the top (5th) floor. here you can still hear the music but its a lot better. If you are a light sleeper DO NOT book this hotel! Apart from the noise issue, this is a good hotel with very helpful staff, good food, nice rooms.
The rooftop restaurant 'mirchi' ('chilli') is very good, they do an all you can eat buffet and the starter to which is table grilled kebabs of vegetables, meat, fish and paneer. All this for just 400INR (~$8). There is also a health club, and a travel desk, altough I found it mch cheaper to just walk outside and take a rickshaw.
