This I suppose is understandable - but a brief letter of semi-apology under the door is not - if you know something went wrong, at least offer your guests some compensation.
The rooms themselves are OK - good desk with stationary, nice shower & tub with toiletries replenished daily, in-room safe, ironing board, bathrobe & slippers, kettle & coffee/tea facilities. Large Plasma TV on the wall with many cable channels (though reception was not so good). Wifi at ~ 180 Rs/hr.
Breakfast was OK as well - som fruit, cereals, bread/pastries, eggs, hot dishes.
The hotel is located next to a slum... and is walking distance (15 mins) from the airport.
At 12,000 Rs a night I suppose this is par for Mumbai..
Gordon House Suites is a "boutique" hotel which opened in mid-November 2007.
When we stayed, it was still being constructed....
When all the problem have been ironed out, it could be a fairly nice hotel. Each floor has a theme ("boutique") - such as Fire, Rainforest, Ice, etc. - and the rooms are decorated to suit. Haviong visited 4 rooms, I conceded that they made an effort and succeeded in creating a different atmosphere in each room.
