In poor shape
This hotel has seen better days, and is in poor shape. Needs serious renovation. Rooms look worn out.
Reception desk was unfriendly and indifferent; the cashier desk was friendly and helpful with foreign exchange.
The location is good, right on Juhu, and convenient to the airport.

Hotel in Bombay
Can anyone suggest a reasonable price hotel for l night stopover. Prefer shuttle bus to airport, interesting surroundings as we only have a short stay. Food more important than shopping as this is return from Goa.

I been advised the Hotel Accord or the Avion Hotel are your best bets.

Hi Robin,
The Centaur is no more a hotel next to the airport as it has been converted into an office for Air Sahara and the Sahara group of companies!!! The other Centaur (Juhu) is also not a Centaur anymore as it has been sold to another hotel group which has now converted it into a 3 star hotel from a 5 star. It is now called the Tulip Star Hotel and no one patronises it anymore due to many of it's problems!!!

Hi Chris,
I would not say best bets but cheaper ones as there are better places nearby too like the Orchid Hotel which is really very nice. Great place for the food too (especially the midnight buffet for Rs300 inclusive of all taxes)!!! There is also Hotel Bawa International near the domestic airport or Hotel Regency near Santacruz Railway Station.

Seem like they are similar from the external appearance as I have not been inside either of them!!! Choose the name you like better or ask from people who have stayed there for their opinions in the forum.
