Aging spendor
We were booked into the hotel as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). We were given a suite and it was brilliantly big! Upon entering there was a large living area complete with fridge, tv, desk, table and chairs. A huge bedroom with 2 good sized double bed. An air conditioning unit in each room as well as fans. A small but user friendly bathroom with hot water and toiletries.
I am certain that 20 years ago this was a classy hotel... and it clings to that. It has a nostalgic charm about it. It is clean, the staff were friendly and we were happy here. There is a bar which does everything properly - can highly recommend their mixed fruit juices. Breakfast was not included. We were not aware of that. Breakfast was a pathetic attempt but an expensive one. Our total bill, for 4 people (1 night) was £100.

West End Hotel Rooms
The rooms are clean and comfortable although old in furnishings. Each room has airconditioning and a ceiling fan. There is a t.v. and while there is cable, it is difficult to find many English speaking channels. The bathroom was probably nicer than I thought. Security seemed good with there always being someone visible on each floor. This maybe more so because of the robbery of a guests room 2 weeks prior. There are safes in the room but when I went out I took the added precaution of leaving my laptop at the front desk. Room Service is available from about 7.00am through to 11.30pm. If you are driving then parking is available free. Money can be changed at the cashier from 8.00am to 4.00pm. Check out time is 12 noon.
Unique Quality: The hotel offers money changing faciltiies and banquet and conference faciltiies. They also have a Doctor on call - not surprising since they are opposite the Bombay Hospital (private). There are also several cinemas in the area.

The West End Hotel
Opposite the Bombay Hospital, the hotel is small but comfortable. The exterior was currently undergoing painting when I was there (2006). Public phones are located in the lobby and while they say they have a business service, I really only read about being able to get internet access via purchasing a Dishnet Red card which at the time of asking, was told that their communications were down. There is a restaurant which serves Indian, Tandoor, Chinese, Italian & Continental dishes. Their kitchen will also prepare pure vegetarian meals. Chez Nous is a bar which serves drinks and snacks.

Nice place for jet lag recovery
A business hotel near Victoria Terminus and a little far from the main sites but comfortable and quiet. It has quality service and a nice restaurant.
