Wow, way out in the boondocks so I had better not suggest the Bhandaker Institute for Yoga near the Deccan Gymkhana (my favorite area)..

Though i havent stayed Pimpri chinchwad i used to go there for functions etc..(i used to stay near to MG road)..
1. Looking for imported furniture? Wood furniture u have plenty of shops at Pimpri and Chinchwad.Prices are reasonabel. We bought furniture from Ramdev furnitures which is Adapsar (that is very far for you). In East street (east street is parallel to MG road) there is one Majestic furniture shop. If you are looking for antique kind then u must go to Harrisons in the east street.
2. Bharatanatyam classes . I used to go one MS MIthili Raghavan. She is really good. IT is conducted at Mira society , Salisbury park, pune. But again this will be far for you. Pimpri chinchawad there is one Mrs Sharama who is famous and conduct classes.
3. Yoga classes ..again plenty of places. The yogacharya Ayyengar's institute itself is in Shivaji Nagar. Which is not very far.

Pimpri- chinchwad -Pune are well connected by train. There are quite a few local trains so distances are never considered very far:).
If u like to go to a happening place it JM Road and FC Road;)
Dont miss the sawai dandharv festival and Ganesh festival.:)
Have a great time

by Jacksprat

Firstly, you absolutelly must try make your way to South India! It's amazing to travel from place to place and the scenary is just totally different in the different areas.
South India seemed a lot more 'relaxed' (well, as realxed as any place could possibly be in India)..... Palolem Beach in Goa is an absolute must if you're in the area.....in fact, from what I've seen - I wouldn't considering any other beach!
It's in a bay and there aren't people trying to sell you stuff while you're sitting on the beach (like Vagator Beach)
There are plenty of little fishing boats and generally people just going about their daily lives and the toursits somehow blend in.

Laxmi Road

by johnbradshawlayfield

Shopping capital of Pune, Laxmi road is very cheap to shop. It is situated in the centre of the city and is famous all over Pune. Visit it. The roads are very narrow, so parking is a problem. So rickshaws or city buses are best way to reach here.
