The Diphlu River Lodge: Kaziranga National Park's best jungle lodge
“What an experience!”
We recently visited Kaziranga park and chose to stay at Diphlu River Lodge after reading many reviews. The place was absolutely awesome.
Some of the Cottages were facing the Diphlu river and was quite serene and relaxing. The rooms and pretty much everything was built with locally available resources such as bamboo and thatches. The quality of place and the people was simply astounding.
I should commend their impeccable service and the staff (Lily and Nampale) are always ready to help with a genuine smile. We felt very welcomed and taken good care of. The Food was very very good and had a nice variety and good taste.
Was overall a complete experience and the place is about 30 mins away from the main reserve although situated right across the reserve with the Diphlu river separating it.
Definitely recommend to anyone who plans to visit Kaziranga National Park
The review will not be complete without the mention of Mr. Ranesh Roy, a very knowledgeable man who made our trip and the visit very endearing. He kept us a real good company and provided a lot of insights into the North Eastern Culture and history.
Nestled on the banks of the picturesque Diphlu River which meanders by the celebrated Kaziranga National Park, Diphlu River Lodge is the ideal getaway for a never-before intimacy with the natural world. With environment-sensitive cottages overlooking the river, Park or verdant farmland, Diphlu River Lodge combines modern comforts with the thrill of the wild with a plethora of activities to enthral your every sense.
Be it spotting an Indian rhinoceros in its natural habitat or appreciating the tribal wisdom of the people of the land, the Lodge offers experiences and itineraries which are suited for individual preferences. Explore the Park with elephant and jeep safaris, watch our in-house local team of craftsmen and weavers in action, revel in the dances of the region with special performances, visit rubber and tea plantations or discover the majesty of the Brahmaputra River and its playful dolphins.
