Hotel Vijoya International

Puri's Better Hotels.

This month we had our monthly sales conference at Puri as December is year ending and everybody had worked hard, so our company decided to have our monthly meet there. It was a nice gesture fromour emplyer so we had a big gathering for two nights at Hotel Vijoya International. It used to one of the very good hotels but it seems that they have lost the touch of late. The rooms are not proper condition and upkeep is lacking professionalism. I have stayed in this hotel in the late 80's, that touch is not there. Though they have a swimming pool, games facility, big lawn, restaurant, bar,location, private beach, every thing a beach hotel should have but it lacks maintenance. The owners must have made lot of money in the last 25 years and have now disowned this beautiful property.

Unique Quality: Our stay was just okey but it really can not be rated as good three star hotel! The best thing they have is a maintained swimming pool and nothing else is maintained. The rooms have color TV and newspaper is given. Laundry is good but shall ask for cash payment on delivery.
Sorry folks now Puri has much better hotels at a very competitive price so they now have competition. The question is will they survive? I will say no, with this attitude it will reduce to a less that one star category. On top of this they have check out time at 08.00AM???

Well not everything is bad. You can have breathtaking view of Sunrise & Sunset from your room. This hotel canstill be revived if it is handed over to the professionals and some investment on the rooms and facilities made.
