The entrance of Gold
by l_joo
Quick, just a few more footsteps to the doorway of Golden Temple. The atmosphere here is becoming more Golden Temple than earlier. Now I can see many peoples holding their head as high as possible, some with camera already in mad including myself, just snap, don't stop. Devotess walk towards the doorway, some of them touch the construction with both hands while praying in heart. The one in orange robe and blue turban is the guard, he is not visitor.

The firing lasted about 10 minutes and 1650 rounds were fired, or 33 rounds per soldier. Official (Raj) sources placed the casualties at 379. According to private sources, the number was over 1000, with more than 2000 wounded,[1] and Civil Surgeon Dr. Smith indicated that they were over 1800.[2]

Golden Temple - Washing up
by Willettsworld
No-one likes washing up do they? Well, can you imagine having to wash up after 50,000 or so visitors have eaten? No?! Haha, well someone has to and luckily here, as the saying goes, many hands make light work. There was a human chain where used metal plates were passed along the line from the dining hall to the washer up's and then left to dry in huge racks.
